PCM changes phase near a chosen comfort temperature. As the room warms, it absorbs excess heat without becoming much hotter itself. When cooler night air returns, the material releases that stored heat and resets for the next day. That daily cycle softens indoor temperature swings and reduces the need to overcool.

Public calculation basis
One public model is used for every PCM quantity. It represents roughly the hottest 10% of warm-season days and is a decision estimate, not a performance guarantee.
Extreme multi-day heatwaves can prevent overnight PCM regeneration; active cooling is the correct fallback in that condition.
